Xiamen University in China has produced more than 200,000 undergraduates and graduates since its founding in 1921and has 27 schools containing 76 departments and 10 research institutes.The university offers 31 doctoral degrees in first-class disciplines, and 50 Master degrees in first-class disciplines. 

Xiamen University has inter-university cooperative ties with over 270 institutions of higher education at home and abroad and the university teaches Chinese as a foreign language. It has become a first-class comprehensive university in China and has co-established 15 Confucius Institutes with universities in North America, Europe, and Africa.

The establishment of Xiamen University Malaysian Campus is very meaningful in terms of the bilateral relations between Malaysia and China as this is the first overseas campus approved by the Chinese government to be set up by a Chinese university.

Academic qualifications are recognized by both Chinese and Malaysian Ministries of Education and this is a perfect integration of China’s elements with international education as this university uses English as the medium of instruction (except in Chinese ­studies and Chinese traditional ­medicine courses).

Degree programmes include ­journalism, international business, software engineering, new energy science and engineering.
